I'm currently attending Texas Tech University's School of Art majoring in Studio Art: Jewelry Design and Metal Smithing and also minoring in Art History. After receiving my BFA I hope to go on to graduate school for my masters, and ultimately I would like a career as a designer for a jewelry company or as a museum curator.

I was born in 1989, which makes me 20 years old at the moment, and I grew up in the Dallas Suburbia. I'm slowing visiting the major cities in the US and after that I plan on touring around some in Europe.

It has been a while...

... since I've been on this website. I figured it was time for an update even if no one reads this. I am now going into my third year of college, and I'm not very sure how much longer I have left to go. I was able to get into Texas Tech University and I'm now majoring in Jewelry Design and Metal Smithing and minoring in Art History. The head professor of my major, Rob Glover, is insanely amazing. I highly recommend googling his metal work; his art is shown all over the world. The majority of my other professors have also been just so wonderful to learn from. If you are looking for a good Jewelry Design Program I highly suggest checking out ours. We also have probably one of the best facilities in the nation.

Through my major I was also able to receive my own workbench in a large studio room that I share with other advanced jewelry designers. Nervous as I was, I still put in a portfolio of my best work as well as a standard application. Not only was I one of the first up to receive a bench, but Rob Glover also told me that he was very impressed with my portfolio which was a huge compliment.

Having three friends pass away within the past year, going through two terrible relationships, and also having sudden change in my health its been very hard getting a proper portfolio started. With that being said I expect to really get my act together starting this summer. In my opinion I can't afford to not do my best. Hopefully I'll be able to learn what my best is with the help of my peers and other artists such as the ones on this online community. I'm looking forward to beginning major pieces dealing with controversial topics: politics, religion, and sexuality. I've already started some of these works and I will be posting a few photographs of them in the near future. Don't be surprised if you don't see traditional jewelry materials though; I've strayed away from expensive mediums while my income remains low.
